David Bachmann is a plein air landscape painter. He works directly from nature, interacting with his subject matter and experiencing the subtle changes of light and weather. This method of working, which involves carrying his painting equipment from site to site, requires a rapid execution and results in a freshness apparent in the paintings. He is primarily interested in capturing the harmony that can exist between man and nature. All works are painted in oils either on panels or on linen.
